Do I need a Pool Safety certificate?
Selling a Property
If you are selling a property with a pool or spa, the contract must include a Swimming Pool Register certificate and one of the following:
- Certificate of compliance
- Occupation certificate (issued within the last 3 years)
- Certificate of non-compliance (buyer must fix issues within 90 days of settlement)
Renting a Property
Landlords or agents must give tenants a certificate of compliance.
Non-compliance certificates cannot be used for rentals.
